I've been a neglectful blog updater. It's been a year since I last updated Barkly's blog.

It's been a busy 12 months with Barkly. Or to be more specific, Elspan Barkly blue AD JDX.

Barkly started trialling in April 2010 and since then, he's gained his Agility Dog (AD) and Jumping Dog Excellent (JDX) titles.

He's become quite a little star. Being the only cocker spaniel trailling in Victoria, he tends to stand out amongst the border collies and kelpies. And his constant barking at the start line ("Come on, let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go") tends to draw attention.

For a cocker, he really is an awesome little dog.

It's nearly the end of the trial season and we'll break for Christmas and do some serious training.

I hope to get a few more agility titles next year (Agility Dog Master (ADM), Jumping Dog Master (JDM), Agility Dog Open (ADO) and Jumping Dog Open (JDO)) and also start trialling him in obedience as well. I'd like to get his CD obedience title in 2011. We'll see how he goes.
